Lindholm Høje Museet
The grave site at Lindholm Høje is one of Denmark’s most beautiful ancient monuments from the early iron age and viking age. It was in use in the period from around the year 400 AD to about 1000, and the many rocks on the hill mark nearly 700 fire pits. At Lindholm Høje Museum you can experience two great exhibitions – one about the vikings’ lives at Lindholm Høje and another about the ancient times by Limfjorden. The museum also has a well-stocked museum shop, which among other things sells copies of original viking jewelry found at Lindholm Høje, as well as woolen goods, books and mead. In continuation of the museum is Café Lindholm, which during the opening hours of the museum offers food, viking coffee or a little refreshment.
